Match analysis

The match was played in the Philippe Chartier court, one of the most imposing courts in Roland Garros. Pablo was not only playing on the big stage but against a great opponent as well. Dominic Thiem, the world number 4 at the moment of the match, is currently one of the best players on clay.

The epic match went to the decider set. Pablo started losing the first sets what is extremely hard to resolve, especially against a tough player like Thiem.  It was an intense match played in the French capital between the two fighters, the Spaniard and the Austrian.  The final score was 4-6, 5-7, 6-3, 6-4, 6,4. Unfortunately, his journey in singles of the French Open was stopped in the second round against Federico Delbonis in another tough fight that ended up on Delbonis’s side. In the doubles tournament, Pablo paired with the Spanish player Pedro Martínez. They did an incredible job as partners, finishing the tournament as semifinalists losing in an intense match on the way to the final.

We are extremely grateful to be part of Pablo’s partners in such an unforgettable match for him and for the ones supporting him.
